Forgiveness

Silence.
Stillness.
Peace.
Fulfillness.

Watching
the quiet roads.
Watching the clouds
cry to the earth
in despair.

Loneliness taking over
the puddles of water that yearn
the laughter of young children,

a sense of fear
the falling flowers
whisper
to the old woman who walks by,
her beautiful wrinkles
hidden behind a mask.

Yet, we still don’t see.
We still don’t see
that the trees are family.
Not money, not industry,
but nature is our gravity.
And the forest
is a friend.

We don’t see
our Mother,
how she has been pushed
to punish us,
like no mother ever wants.
Yet she’s telling us off
with tears glistening in her eye.
She wants us to come back
to her

rush into her arms
and weep in remorse,
beg her
for forgiveness.
